Good Saturday to one and all. We have some summer sizzle working back into the region for the next several days. This will be accompanied by an increase in humidity, leading to thunderstorms on the increase.
Highs Saturday will top out in the low and middle 80s under mostly sunny skies:

Highs for Sunday will top out in the upper 80s, with humidity on the rise.
90-degree highs are possible by Monday, but isolated storms might fire up in the afternoon hours. Those thunderstorms will then increase for the middle and end of the week, with a flow right off the Gulf of Mexico. The models are pretty enthusiastic about the rain numbers through next weekend:
By next weekend, another dip in the jet stream shows up across the eastern half of the country:
That should knock the temps back down some but will probably keep the storm threat going.
