Good Monday, folks. The new work week is off and running with toasty temps and an increasing threat for storms. With the tropical atmosphere in place, any storm that goes up can put down a lot of water in a short amount of time.
Highs today are upper 80s to near 90 in most areas, with the humidity making it feel warmer. A few storms will then go up this afternoon and evening, especially across the central and western parts of the state:
Storm chances increase Tuesday and Wednesday as deep tropical moisture settles in from the south. This will give us a much better chance for heavy rainfall numbers from storms going up.
As a matter of fact, we run the risk for heavy rain producing storms each and every day through the weekend. Any one day can feature some local high water issues somewhere across the region.
For the record, It’s not going to rain every day where you live. 😉
Late this weekend and early next week could feature a dip in the jet stream across our part of the world. Some of the models develop a tropical system in the Gulf at the same time. The Canadian model is always a little crazy with these systems:
Much deeper troughs develop later next week into the following week. Most of the models are taking on a cooler look:
Have a magnificent Monday and take care.
