Good Wednesday, folks. Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are rumbling across the region. This is part of a very stormy setup that continues through the week and is likely to hang around for the next few weeks.
The storms have a lot of tropical air to tap, leading to torrential rains. These rains could cause some local flash-flood problems. In addition to the heavy rain, these boomers will contain a lot of lightning and gusty winds.

Additional showers and storms will be with us on Thursday, with another flash flood threat.
The storms may not be as widespread Friday into Saturday, but some downpours will still be possible. Temps will continue to be very, very steamy.
A cold front moves in later this weekend and will bring another increase in storms. A few strong to severe storms will be possible, with torrential rains also causing some issues:
