Good Saturday and welcome to the weekend. We are coming off a very stormy first week of July, with rounds of strong storms doing some damage across the region. The weekend weather looks much better, but I can’t rule out isolated showers and storms.
Highs Saturday are in the upper 70s to low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. The day might start with some leftover action in the southeast and might end with an isolated shower or storm..
Here are your radars to track anything that develops:
Highs on Sunday are back into the low 80s, with mainly dry skies. There will be a small storm chance late in the day, and that’s a sign of another stormy setup developing next week.
Temps will be rather toasty next week, but nothing out of the ordinary. The real summer heat will be in the Plains States, but some big storm clusters will try to ride around the eastern edge of that heat.
This puts the Bluegrass State in the line of fire for storms diving in from the northwest:
Some of those storms could be strong or severe, with heavy rain:
Have a great Saturday and take care.
