Good Monday to one and all. We are watching the northwestern sky for some clusters of storms trying to move our way. These storm clusters will team with steamy air to control our weather for the week ahead.
Highs Monday will be in the middle 80s in many areas, but some storms will knock those numbers down in a few places. These northwest-to-southeast-moving boomers could be on the strong side, especially in the north.
Here are your Monday tracking tools:
Additional storm clusters are likely for Tuesday and Wednesday. These will not affect the entire region, and that will affect temps. Highs outside of the storms could make a run at 90.
The most likely chance of storms will roll into town Thursday and Friday with a cold front. Strong storms and heavy rainfall will be possible during that time.
The theme of the summer has been for the real summer heat to be across the western part of the country, with wet weather and normal to below-normal temps in the east.
The long-range European Model through the middle of August keeps that theme going.
I think we could get some pretty steamy stretches of weather thrown in, and one comes this week.
Have a great Monday and take care.
