Good Tuesday to one and all. We have some of the warmest air of the summer on tap for the coming days. This air will be very tropical in nature, with the potential for a few storms through Friday.
Tuesday will feature highs from the middle 80s to near 90, depending on where you are. A few storms might be on the move from the northwest, with the greatest impact across the north.

Wednesday will find highs near 90 degrees in most of Central and Eastern Kentucky. With the high humidity, it will feel a few degrees warmer than that. There’s only a small storm chance in the north.
Thunderstorms will then increase as we roll into Thursday and Friday. That’s when a cold front drops in from the northwest. The storms along and ahead of this should be slow-movers, putting down some very heavy rainfall. A few storms could be strong:
Cooler air comes in behind that for the weekend, but we will be watching the tropics to see how it influences the overall pattern across the states.
