A weak cold front on the way

Good Sunday to one and all. It’s another very nice weather day across central and eastern Kentucky, with pleasant temps and mainly sunny skies. This nice weather will soon give way to a weak cold front marching in from the north.

Highs today are in the low and middle 80s for many areas. Winds will begin to gust up as our front draws near from the north. That boundary may touch off  a broken line of strong storms to our north into the evening. A few of those may sink into northern Kentucky before the evening is through.

Here’s the Sunday edition of weather trackers:

Monday will find the cold front hanging around on top of the region, as evidenced by the high temp forecast from the NAM:

A few showers and storms will be scattered about the region into Monday evening, but this doesn’t look like a big rain event.

Toasty temps return for the middle and end of next week, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Some storms will begin to work back in from the northwest by late week into next weekend:

Make it a great Sunday and take care.
