Good Monday to one and all. We have a cold front on top of the region today, and this will bring cooler air in for the next few days. This is the beginning of a pattern change that takes us back into a cooler setup as we get ready to end July and say hello to August.
Highs today will still be in the steamy mid and upper 80s. A shower or thunderstorm will be on the move:
Tuesday looks MUCH better with highs in the 80-85 degree range and low humidity. We may even see a few temps drop into the upper 50s by Wednesday morning.
Another system takes aim at the region by Thursday and Friday. This will bring an increase in showers and storms from the northwest. This is the first of several cold fronts showing up over the next week and change:
With each passing cold front comes a shot of cooler than normal temperatures. Watch this animation through the first few days of August:
Many of the seasonal models show a cooler than normal August taking shape. I don’t think too many people would complain about that! 😉
Have a great Monday and take care.
