Good Tuesday to one and all. We are dealing with much better temperatures today, but the focus of the forecast is on another cold front rolling our way. That front arrives late in the week and should bring more rains to the region.
Today’s highs will generally be in the low and middle 80s for most of central and eastern Kentucky. There is just a small chance for a pop up shower or storm in the afternoon and evening.
Warmer winds blow on Wednesday as we gear up for a cold front arriving later Thursday. This front will bring widespread showers and storms our way through Friday:
Locally heavy rains and strong storms will be possible during this time.
There’s a chance to get an upper level low to cutoff just to our south and east over the weekend:
If that’s the case, we could be dealing with some lingering showers into the weekend. With or without the rain, we are going to be dealing with much cooler air this weekend into early next week.
July looks to end on a cooler than normal note, with August starting out on a similar theme:
