Good Thursday, everyone. We have a potent storm system diving into the Ohio Valley, touching off showers and storms. Some of the storms out there today may become severe and produce local flash flooding.
The boomers will come at us in clusters from west to east. This action may intensify during the afternoon and evening, with damaging winds and large hail possible. In addition to the severe storms threat, heavy rainfall may cause some flooding concerns.
Many times, storms like these can overachieve in terms of rainfall. We saw something similar happen this past weekend around the Maysville area, and we will be on guard again today.

Showers and storms will continue into Friday, before tapering off from west to east late in the day. This will set the stage for some fantastic weather for the weekend.
Highs Saturday and Sunday will generally range from 75-80 degrees in most areas. That’s more typical for the end of September than the end of July. Lows may even drop deep into the 50s:
