Looking into the early-August setup

Good Monday, folks. As hard as it is to believe, this is the final day of July, and we are sending the month out on a cooler-than-normal note. So, what does early August have in store for us? If you guessed more of the same, you are a winner! 🙂

We have a big-time fall cold front moving toward the region this week, and it arrives Friday. Ahead of it, temps will rise into the low and middle 80s, with an increase in showers and storms:

The rain chances continue to increase for Thursday:

The actual cold front then swings through the region Friday into Friday night. That should have gusty rounds of showers and storms along it:

What does that mean for our weather? Highs should mainly be in the 70s, but they could be lower if we get any lingering showers. Lows will drop into the 50s, with the potential for some some areas to see the upper 40s by Sunday morning.

Temps early next week start to moderate but stay slightly below normal. As the temps climb a bit, watch for showers and storms to try to kick in.

Have a wonderful Monday and take care.
