Good Saturday, folks. The final day of September is bringing some absolutely awesome weather to the bluegrass state. This nice weather is about as good as it gets to end the ninth month of the year.
This nice fall pattern will then carry us into the opening few days of October, then changes start to show up.
Let’s start with today and roll ahead. Highs will mainly be in the upper 60s to around 70 with a mix of sun and high clouds. Things look great at Kroger Field, with upper 60s at kickoff and upper 50s by the time the game ends.
Sunday starts with low 40s, with pockets of upper 30s possible in the coldest Valleys. The rest of the day is awesome with highs in the low 70s.
The nice weather hangs around into early next week. Temps will gradually warm and may hit 80 by the middle of the week.
A cold front makes a run at us by Thursday or early Friday. This may have a broken band of showers and storms with it:
Cooler temps will return behind the front, but another bounce back may take place a few days later.
This would be ahead of push of much colder air into the country:
That would take us toward a colder look for the middle of the month. That said, the pattern is loaded with a lot of back and forth in temps for much of October.
Have a great day and take care.
