Good Tuesday, folks. We have very mild temps rolling across the region for the next several days. This nice weather is about to give way to some big changes as our jet stream starts to take some dips.
Highs Tuesday through Thursday will be in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. There is a chance of a stray shower or storm across the southern and western parts of the state:
A cold front will then dive into the region late this week, putting the brakes on nearby. Exactly where that front stalls out will be the determining factor on when we get in on rain chances.
The first chance comes Thursday into Friday and is very small.
That chance increases this weekend with two factors coming into play. Another front enters the picture from the west, potentially picking up tropical moisture streaming northward from the Gulf of Mexico.
You can see this well on the GFS, which also has another system early next week:
Chilly air then pours in behind that front through the middle of the week.
That same model run goes on to produce an even bigger push of chilly air by the following weekend:
Enjoy your Tuesday and take care.
