A milder pattern develops

Good Saturday, everyone. Milder weather continues to work into the region, and it might bring some showers along for the ride. This kicks off an overall milder pattern that is likely to carry us through much of the rest of January.

Highs out there Saturday will hit the 40s, with a mix of sun and clouds. Isolated showers will be possible:

Sunday will see highs in the 50s, with a little more likelihood of some showers. This is not going to be a washout of a weekend.

The cold front moves in Monday with an increase in rain from west to east:

Colder air comes in behind that for Monday night and Tuesday, and it could bring a few snowflakes:

That’s not a very cold air mass and will quickly moderate by the middle and end of next week. Southwesterly winds probably will boost highs well into the 50s again, ahead of another big storm system. This one might have some significant rain with it and have colder air coming in behind it.

Even in the midst of a milder pattern, you can get some winter weather, and it’s certainly possible with that storm system.

Make it a great day and take care.
