A frigid Groundhog Day

Good Friday and Happy Groundhog Day. It’s  big day for our furry forecasters across the country, as they search for a shadow. Regardless of what the groundhog says, the actual weather pattern says we are likely to have 6 more weeks of winter weather.

Wah Wah!

Highs out there on this Friday will only be in the middle and upper 20s with a gusty northwesterly wind making it feel like the teens. At least we have the sunshine! 🙂

Our weekend setup continues to look a little convoluted, with two systems fighting it out to see which one will rule the weather. When that happens, it’s hard to get a huge storm system to develop.

As is, we will likely see an increase in moisture Saturday night and early Super Bowl Sunday, leading to a period of snow and a mix. We may see that switch over to some light rain for a few hours Sunday afternoon, then go back to some light snow Sunday night:

Some accumulations are a good bet on both ends of that system, with the best chance being Saturday night and then again Sunday night.

After a break on Monday, let’s do it all over again Tuesday into early Wednesday…

Make it a great day and take care.
