Good Monday to one and all. We have another messy system rolling toward our region and it may cause some issues in the coming days. The potential for ice is showing up across parts of the state.
Before we get to that, we have one system moving out of eastern Kentucky early this morning. This put down some light snow out there, so watch for some slick spots early today:

Another light snow maker brushes the state Monday night, especially in the north. A much stronger system then targets us late Tuesday into early Wednesday. This will bring a swath of rain, freezing rain and snow across the Commonwealth:
We are walking a very fine line with temperatures on this one, with a degree or two being the difference between heavy rain and significant freezing rain.

Here’s hoping the ice threat is being overstated on those particular models.
