Good Friday to one and all. It’s a very pleasant day out there across the bluegrass state, but we are about to change it up for the weekend. Rounds of rain return and we could be talking about some hefty totals for some.
Let’s start with the good, then get to the bad.
Highs today are running in the 55-60 degree range with a mix of sun and clouds. Make sure to soak this one up, before rain soaks us this coming weekend.
Rain arrives Friday night into early Saturday and it appears to come at us in waves. The greatest concentration of rain falls in the south and east. This is where we may see some local high water issues develop.

The NAM rainfall numbers go through early Sunday evening and show widespread 3″ rains:
The GFS numbers through Monday are also picking up on those totalThe heavy rain is followed up by another system showing up by Sunday night and early Monday. That may have a little more of a winter look to it. The NAM is showing areas of freezing rain during this time:
