Good Monday to one and all. Flooding rains pounded parts of the state over the weekend, with the potential for another big rain event later this week. This very active setup continues to put Kentucky in the storm track spotlight.
Our week is starting out on a colder note, with even a little bit of light wintry precipitation this morning. Watch for some slick spots on area roads to start the day, but this will move away pretty quickly, leaving us with a slightly better sky later today.
Leftover showers will be noted for Tuesday, but another increase in rain begins Wednesday and carries us through Friday. Heavy rain and thunderstorms will be likely, with a switch to snow possible by late Friday. This will be followed up by a few more active systems. Here’s how the Canadian sees it:

This setup may cause additional high water issues across much of the bluegrass state. This is something we will be on guard for in the coming days.
