Good Thursday, folks. It’s another absolutely awesome weather day across the bluegrass state, as Mother Nature throws us a little preview of September. This will take us into Friday, but an increase in humidity is on the way for the weekend, with scattered storms nudging back into the mix.
Temps this morning are in the low 50s for many areas of central and eastern Kentucky. A few spots in the coldest valleys may even dip into the high 40s. Later this afternoon, gorgeous skies and highs in the 70s take control.
Friday starts in the 50s and ends with upper 70s to near 80. Clouds will begin to increase, with a slight chance for a shower or storm around by evening. That COULD impact a few high school football games:
That kicks off a fairly humid weekend with more showers and storms trying to develop:
This humid trend continues into next week as temperatures continue to climb. The toasty temps will be joined by scattered showers and storms going up on a daily basis.
Later in the week, we will be watching for a trough to dive into our region, bringing an increase in showers and storms that may last into, at least part of, Labor Day Weekend:
Have a good one and take care.
