Good Tuesday to one and all. Our cooler than normal temperatures will continue for a few more days, but a surge of summer is on the way. That enters the picture by the end of the week and may carry us all the way through early next week.
Our Tuesday will feature temps in the 60s with a mostly cloudy sky returning by the afternoon. The numbers climb to around the 70 degree mark by Wednesday, but another system moving in could spawn a shower or thunderstorm.
The real warmth moves in by the end of the week and could be introduced by a few thunderstorms on Friday. Check out the surge of 80s pushing in here:

Humidity levels will also be climbing ahead of a cold front. That can touch off scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially later this weekend:
A more pronounced storm system may roll in here early next week:
That could wind up turning into a very active storm setup around our neck of the woods.
