Good Friday to one and all. It’s another steamy day as we kick off the long Memorial Day Weekend. It’s normally the unofficial kickoff to summer, but Mother Nature had a different idea and got the party started a week early.
Our Friday will feature highs ranging from 85-90 degrees across much of central and eastern Kentucky. A few storms will try to fire up from time to time, especially across the northern half of the Commonwealth. A few strong storms can’t be ruled out:
Saturday will see similar temps with a scattered storm or two around, especially across the central and eastern parts of the state.
Once into Sunday, another boundary slides closer to us from the north. This will be able to touch off some late day showers and storms, some of which could be strong or severe:
Some of that action will linger into Memorial Day as temps generally range from 85-90 once again.
The pattern finally tries to change by the end of next week as a trough looks to deepen across the eastern half of the country:
Once that digs in, temps are forecast to go below normal:
Make it an awesome Friday and take care.
