Good Friday, folks. We are rolling into the weekend on a very cool, but very nice note across central and eastern Kentucky. This nice weather won’t last much longer as another stormy setup is on the way.
Let us focus on what’s going on today. Temps in the 40s may set a few record lows to start our Friday. By this afternoon, readings are generally in the low and middle 70s with a mix of sun and clouds.
Saturday looks good with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to around 80. There is a slight chance for a shower or storm going up.
Showers and storms will increase on Sunday as a system drops in from the northwest. This will slow down on top of us through next week, leading to rounds of showers and thunderstorms rolling across Kentucky and the rest of the Ohio Valley. This is a setup that can put down a lot of rain in our region over the next week and change:
The Ensembles over the next 2 weeks show the heart of the rainfall right on top of us:
Temps do get back to normal for the week ahead, but a few troughs look to try and dive back in. You can see this on the CFS as it has a cool look for the final week of June:
Make it a great Friday and take care.
