Good Thursday, everybody. Our gorgeous stretch of weather continues to dazzle across central and eastern Kentucky. Cooler than normal temps and low humidity levels continue to give us one of the best periods of weather of the entire year.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to and end. A more typical brand of late July temps is just around the corner for the weekend.
Let’s start with today and roll forward. Highs are mainly in the low 80s with low humidity and a big blue sky. Soak it up!
Friday is another nice day, but the temps do come up just a bit. Most areas are between 80 and 85 for afternoon highs.
Temps and humidity levels increase this weekend as temps hit the middle 80s for many areas. That increase in humidity should lead to a shower or thunderstorm going up in the afternoon and evening hours.
The showers and storms will really increase into early next week as a system works slowly across the region. That may very well hang around for several days and would knock the temps down as we close July and begin August:
The Ensembles have been hinting at this and continue to do so. Here’s the 5 day average temperature departure from July 30-August 4:
The following 5 days have an even cooler look:
We shall see. Make it a great day and take care.
