Rain and some snow ahead

Good Thursday, everyone. Clouds are thickening across the region today as our storm system moves in. This will bring rain on the front end with some snow on the backside this weekend.

Today’s clouds will be accompanied by temps in the 40s. Showers will then begin to move in from late this afternoon through the evening. Here are your radars to track whatever shows up:

Our system continues to have an impact timeline from late today through Sunday. The NAMĀ  goes through 7pm Saturday evening and you can see how wraparound light snows begin to show up as early as Friday night:

The Canadian has a similar thought process with some wraparound flakes going through Sunday with a second little system on Monday:Here’s the snow map:

The GFS continues to be the outlier with the overall thermal setup for the entire storm system:

It still can’t find much snow to our west and northwest:
