Good Sunday, everyone. The potential for strong thunderstorms continues across the region and this carries us into the week ahead. That could mean too much rain across parts of central and eastern Kentucky.
Rounds of thunderstorms are with us today, but we aren’t looking at wall to wall rain. Some of those storm clusters could be strong or severe. Here’s the low end severe threat from the Storm Prediction Center:
Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats from any severe storm that shows up.
As I mentioned, these rounds of storms will keep coming at us through the first half of next week. That puts us in a region where too much rain can fall. This could cause flash flood issues to develop and that’s something we really need to be on guard for.
