Chris earned his BA degree in Broadcasting from Morehead State University and graduated from the Meteorology Program at Mississippi State University. He is a member of the National Weather Association (NWA) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS).
Chris started his broadcasting career at a young age. He got his first chance to deliver weather reports on television when he was a weather watcher for a Lexington TV station. While in the 5th grade, a huge flood hit his hometowm and the station let Chris do a live phone report describing the conditions. Chris would eventually get to work for that same tv station, WKYT-TV. That’s where he spent nearly 10 years delivering daily weather forecasts from 1998 to 2008.
